The New Zealand Army Soldiers introduced the rifle to U.S. Marines in preparation for a live-fire range, during exercise Joint Assault Signals Company Black. Friendly competition arose when the Soldiers demonstrated the proper loading, firing, assembling and disassembling procedures. Cookson is a signal bombardier with 161 Battery, 16 Field Regiment.
