Fargo training site continues busy summer

    U. S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jeremy Burkhart, of the 185th Civil Engineer Squadron, gives hand signals to mobile aircraft arresting system operators while training at the North Dakota Air National Guard Regional Training Site, Fargo, N.D., Aug. 18, 2015. The aircraft arresting system provides emergency stopping capability if an aircraft experiences brake failure. The North Dakota Air National Guard Regional Training Site is one of five contingency training locations in the United States used by Air National Guard and U.S. Air Force personnel in the civil engineer career fields. I provides wartime mission training as well as proficiency training on construction practices, utility support, emergency services, maintenance and repair of base infrastructure. Four separate groups totaling about 400 people are scheduled to train at the site in the month of August in 2015. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt. David H. Lipp/Released)
