Paratroopers with Company C, 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division (Advise and Assist Brigade), return from a patrol across the Euphrates River while assisting Iraqi police, who are providing security for a nearby bridge project on the Euphrates River north of Al Taqaddum, Iraq, Oct. 5, 2009. The airborne unit is the first organic advise-and-assist brigade assigned the mission of security-force assistance in Iraq.
