Iraqi army engineers learn to operate a hydraulic excavator while a U.S. Soldier, assigned to the 1313th Engineer Company, 113th Engineer Battalion, Indiana National Guard, supervises during heavy equipment operator training at Camp Taji, Iraq, Aug. 10, 2015. This training will help Iraqi security forces take the lead in critical engineer tasks such as building berms, digging fighting positions, and repairing airfields. Training at the building partner capacity sites is an integral part of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s multinational effort to train ISF personnel to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
