Airmen 1st Class Amber Burns, 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron Nondestructive Inspection laboratory, inspects a brake part from an F-16 Fighting Falcon for visible cracks or wear Aug. 12, 2015 at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. NDI Airmen inspect for cracks and flaws on aircraft and their components, aerospace ground equipment and safety equipment. They also test jet engine oil samples, using a variety of methods, like magnetic particle, fluorescent penetrant, eddy current, radiography, optical and ultrasonic equipment.
