General Joseph L. Votel, commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, speaks with members of 1st Marine Raider Regiment and 1st Marine Raider Support Battalion, during a town hall at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 5, 2015. General Votel opened the town hall with a presentation of coins to Marines who the unit wanted recognized for their outstanding work, ending the meeting with a question and answer session with Marines and sailors. His visit included a tour of the Hall of Heroes, medical clinic, and language studies building.
