A U.S. Navy special amphibious reconnaissance corpsman waits for the order to turn and engage his target during a close quarters tactics training evolution aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), Aug. 10, 2015. The Marines and sailors with Force Reconnaissance Platoon, Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, combined fast-roping with live-fire training, all while wearing M50 gas masks. The Marines of FRP provide the 31st MEU with a specialized direct action force. The 31st MEU is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment to the Asia-Pacific region.
