Lt. Col. Matthew W. Tracy, the outgoing commanding officer of 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, stands with his wife and three children during a change of command ceremony at Dewey Square, July 31, 2015. Tracy, a West Hartford, Conn., native, relinquished command of “Trinity” to Lt. Col. Timothy S. Brady, a Fairfax, Va., native. The change of command ceremony helps the troops familiarize themselves with their commanding officer, promoting troop welfare and combat readiness. The mission of Marine Corps Base Hawaii is to provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
