A 500 gallon bambi bucket, full to the brim and ready to go, is pulled out of a dip site by an Oregon Army National Guard HH-60M Black Hawk helicopter, near the Stouts Fire outside of Canyonville, Ore., Aug. 5. The Black Hawk helicopter is equipped with a "Bambi bucket" which carries approximately 500 gallons of water. Two Oregon Army National Guard HH-60M Black Hawk helicopters have been working out of the Roseburg Municipal Airport since Monday to support ground firefighting crews and have been joined by one Oregon Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook helicopter based out Pendleton, Ore. The Stouts Fire currently covers more than 19,000 acres. (Photo by Staff Sgt. Jason van Mourik, Oregon Military Department Public Affairs)
