Staff Sgt. Steven Gonzalez, a dog handler from the 455th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, takes time out of training to reward Military Working Dog, Bruno, for his hard work and obedience, Oct. 8. Ensuring the canines are trained on a daily basis assures the effectiveness of the dogs. "We patrol the base perimeter," said Sgt. Gonzalez. "He [Bruno] detects if anyone is outside the wire, he keeps us safe." Sgt. Gonzalez, a Converse, Ind. native, is deployed from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz.
