Marines step off as they commence their culminating event along Del Mar Beach during a Martial Arts Instructor Course aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 1, 2015. The MAI Course is usually a 15-day course where Marines are taught and trained to instruct. Reservists are limited to a 14-day annual training period, thus having it tailored to a two-week course for Marines within 4th Law Enforcement Battalion. The course was also opened to other units around Camp Pendleton, such as Marines from 1st Law Enforcement, Provost Marshal's Office, 1st Maintenance Bn, Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, and 4th Civil Affairs Group reservists.
