QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Aug. 6, 2015) Navy Capt. Veronica Armstrong (second from left), from Waycross, Ga., answers a question about leadership as a Navy nurse during a subject matter expert exchange during Pacific Partnership 2015. The Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center hosted more than 40 medical personnel from various specialties from the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) for two days to exchange medical best practices and information. Pacific Partnership is in its 10th iteration and is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions to date have provided real world medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals.
