Families and friends of 2-285 Assault Helicopter Battalion of the Arizona Army National Guard watch and listen as dignitaries and officials express their gratitude and support of the Citizen-Soldiers during the unit's sendoff ceremony at Papago Park Military Reservation, Phoenix, Ariz., Monday, Oct. 5. More than 250 Ariz. soldiers, along with 150 soldiers from North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Utah will proceed to Fort Sill, Okla. for training immediately prior to deployment to Iraq for a about a year.
