150802-N-YM856-036 PORTSMOUTH, Dominica (August 2, 2015) A volunteer with the non-governmental organization (NGO) University of California San Diego Pre-Dental Society (UCSD-PDS) explains prescription dosage instructions to a patient at a medical site established at the Roosevelt Douglas Primary School during Continuing Promise 2015 (CP-15). UCSD-PDS volunteers are working alongside other NGOs and joint-military personnel to complete the CP-15 mission Continuing Promise is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian-civil assistance, subject matter expert exchanges, medical, dental, veterinary and engineering support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
