(August 03, 2015) Builder 3rd Class Kelly Glee and Engineer Aid 2nd Class Julia Glosek, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18, prepare a piece of plywood with a circular saw before installing it as siding on a model convenience store, part of the “search city” training facility at the National Disaster Search and Rescue Dog Foundation’s National Training Center. Seabees, from active duty and reserve units based out of Port Hueneme, Calif., are constructing various training facilities at the center to simulate realistic disaster scenarios for search dogs under the Department of Defense Innovative Readiness Training Program.
