Lance Cpl. Gloribel Flores (front), a support warehouse clerk with Combat Logistics Battalion and a Los Angeles native, and Sgt. Chas Fornili, a welder with Support Company, CLB-3 and a Pittsburgh native, cut bread in the kitchen at one of the Institute for Human Services’ shelters in Honolulu, Aug. 1, 2015. The Single Marine & Sailor Program regularly volunteers with IHS among other organizations throughout the year. The many volunteer opportunities SM&SP provides fall in line with the mission of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, which is to provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
