Cpl. Guido Encalada, a landing support specialist with Transportation Service Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 3, practices securing a sling, to transport of the simulated downed aircraft back to Marine Corps Air station, Kaneohe Bay, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, July 31, 2015. The Marine was participating in a joint Downed Aircraft Recovery Team exercise, which was comprised of service members from all branches of the United States military. Participating in joint operations directly supports the mission of MCB Hawaii by providing facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
