Soldiers of the 75th Training Command, Lakewood, Colo., contemplate combat scenarios during a two-day Virtual Staff Ride training July 18. The state-of-the-art training tool leads these U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers through a detailed virtual world representing real, historical battles in Iraq and Afghanistan. Soldiers are encouraged to critically evaluate details such as terrain conditions, fighting positions and mission objectives, and then discuss how the mission could be more successful.
