ARTA BEACH, Djibouti (July 24, 2015). U.S. Marine Sgt. Carlos Guerrero teaches the Marines of Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, about the functions of an M1A1 Abrams tank. Guerrero is a tank commander with BLT 3/1, 15th MEU. Elements of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are ashore in Djibouti for sustainment training to maintain and enhance the skills they developed during their pre-deployment training period. The 15th MEU is currently deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation.
