Capt. Richard Price, an environmental science officer for Company C, 334th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, laughs with his full-time employer, Mark Sedlmayr, chief of law enforcement, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, at a dining facility at Fort Polk, La. Sedlmayr, along with 20 other employers who employ citizen-Soldiers from all over the state, were offered a unique opportunity to visit the Joint Readiness Training Center by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in order to see firsthand what their citizen-Soldiers do during their annual two-week absence from their full-time jobs.
