A group of employers of National Guard Soldiers watch on as a controlled explosion sends a fireball into the sky at the Military Operations on Urban Terrain course at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, La. The employers, who employ Iowa citizen-Soldiers from all across of the state, were invited to JRTC by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in order to see firsthand what their citizen-Soldiers do during their annual two-week absence from their full-time jobs.
