150728-N-NP779-002 INDIAN OCEAN (July 28, 2015) – Marines assigned to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 311 conduct diagnostic checks on an AV-8B on the port aircraft elevator of forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD6). Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
