The Marines with Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit trained on various live-fire ranges as part of Talisman Sabre 2015. Talisman Sabre is a major bilateral exercise that enhances the combat readiness and interoperability of U.S. and Australian forces across a range of military operations. The 31st MEU participated in the exercise while deployed on its regularly scheduled Fall Patrol of the Asia-Pacific region.
