ROXAS CITY, Philippines (July 22, 2015) Members from the U.S. Navy and Roxas City and Province of Capiz Bureau Fire Protection listen to a lecture at Capiz State University during humanitarian assistance disaster relief subject matter expert exchange as part of Pacific Partnership 2015. The exchange brought together leaders and experts from the Royal Australian Navy, Royal New Zealand Air Force, Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, Malaysia Army, Japan Air Self Defense Force, and International Emergency Medicine and Health Support Japan. The hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) is currently in the Philippines for its third mission port of PP15. Pacific Partnership is in its 10th iteration and is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions to date have provided real world medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals.
