Daniel Grieco, commanding officer of USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), in an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Red Rippers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11, flies over the flight deck of TR during his last flight aboard the aircraft carrier. Theodore Roosevelt is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region.
