During the 300th flight of aircraft BF-04, the F-35B Lightning II Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) variant of the fifth generation stealth fighter performs one of its standard vertical landings aboard NAS Patuxent River on July 10. To date, the F-35 program has surpassed 36,000 combined flight hours between F-35 military fleet aircraft and System Development and Demonstration (SDD) test aircraft.
