A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III takes off on another windy and dusty day at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Sept. 23. At the time of this photo, winds were blowing over 30 knots and visibility was less than 5,000 meters, but it's business as usual for the C-17s assigned to the 8th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron. The 8 EAMS performs a variety of strategic combat airlift missions throughout Southwest Asia in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
