The Marines are preparing to leave for Integrated Training Exercise 5-15 aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif. ITX is designed to prepare units for deployment, as the Marines must attend the exercise in order to demonstrate live-fire and maneuver while also integrating indirect fire. The 'Lava Dogs' are dedicated to the proficiency of their profession of arms, attained through the training and honing of individual and collective skills; They are also committed to becoming a cohesive fighting unit by focusing on teamwork, leadership, discipline, fitness, motivation, communication, marksmanship and the use of common fundamentals.
