A sailor litters the deck with rounds during a .50 cal gun shoot aboard the guided missile destroyer USS Cole during a live-fire training exercise as they transit the Atlantic Ocean. Cole is scheduled to participate in Exercise Joint Warrior 09-2, a United Kingdom-led, multi-national and multi-warfare exercise designed to improve interoperability between allied navies as well as to prepare for a role in combined operations during upcoming deployments.
