An MV-22 Osprey follows a flight transporting Japan's Admiral Katsutoshi Kawano, Chief of Staff, and the official party from Camp Lejeune, N.C., to New River Air Base, N.C., July 15, 2015. The purpose of the visit was to demonstrate Department of Defense support for Japan's efforts to upgrade capabilities of the Japan Self-Defense Forces to rapidly deploy air and amphibious capabilities and employ joint doctrine.
