A member from the 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron from Kadena Air Base, Japan, conducted a forward area exercise along with U.S. Navy 85th Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron during exercise Talisman Sabre in the Northern Territory of Australia, July 14, 2015. FARP operations provide the ability to refuel aircraft in non-standard and hostile environments using tanker aircraft to refuel rotary and fixed-wing aircraft while engines are running. FARP increases the reach and mission capabilities for special operation forces. Exercises such as Talisman Sabre 2015 provide realistic, relevant training which is necessary to maintain regional security, peace, and stability. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Stephen G.
