150417-N-HU377-216 WASHINGTON (April 17, 2015) Steelworker 1st Class Brenton W. Heisserer, from Modesto, Calif., is presented an award by Vice Adm. Scott H. Swift, director, Navy Staff, for winning the 2015 Navy Shore Sailor of the Year (SOY) competition at the Pentagon. The Navy Shore SOY program was established in 1972 to recognize Sailors who represent the best of the Navy by demonstrating both professional and personal dedication above and beyond their peers.
