150317-N-GR120-287 ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 17, 2015) – Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Jon Kausey, from Charlotte, N.C., is congratulated by Senior Chief Aviation Ordnanceman James Stafford after completing the 2015 Shamrock Marathon in the hangar bay of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Theodore Roosevelt participated in a shadow run to allow deployed Sailors a chance to run the Shamrock 8K, Half Marathon and Marathons. Theodore Roosevelt deployed from Norfolk and will execute a homeport shift to San Diego at the conclusion of deployment.Theodore Roosevelt is conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
