U.S. Marines from the 271st Marine Wing Support Squadron, 2nd Marine Air Wing, based out of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., conduct construction operations at new two-classroom school building at the Gabriela Mistral school construction site in the village of Ocotes Alto, Honduras, while members of the 823rd ERHS well-drilling team move drilling equipment into place at Honduras Aguan, Honduras, June 27, 2015. The projects are part of New Horizons Honduras 2015 training exercise. New Horizons was launched in the 1980s and is an annual joint humanitarian assistance exercise that U.S. Southern Command conducts with a partner nation in Central America, South America or the Caribbean. The exercise improves joint training readiness of U.S. and partner nation civil engineers, medical professionals and support personnel through humanitarian assistance activities.
