Soldiers of the mortar platoon attached to Attack Co., 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade, describe the capabilities of the 120mm M120 mortar system to a Latvian citizens during the 1st Latvian Battalion (LATBAT) Infantry birthday celebration at Camp Adazi, Latvia, July 9. The LATBAT was established April 30, 1992 and the days events included a live-fire demonstration conducted by Latvian infantry Soldiers and static displays. U.S. Army Soldiers from 173rd Airborne Brigade are deployed throughout Eastern Europe in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, an ongoing multinational partnership focused on joint training and security cooperation between the U.S. and other NATO allies.
