Non-commissioned officers and Soldiers deemed the best among their peers throughout 4th Brigade, 1st Armored Division gathered at Contingency Operating Base Adder, Iraq, Sept. 15-16 to take part in prestige boards. The "Highlander" Brigade boards included NCO and Soldier of the Quarter, Career Counselor of the Year (Fiscal Year 2009), and a selection board for the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. Board attendees took part in written tests, height and weight checks, and the Army physical fitness test before making their board appearances in full battle attire. Board membership was comprised of the brigade and battalion command sergeants major. The gathering of senior non-commissioned officers was also used as an opportunity to conduct a First Sergeants Conference.
