Australian Army GNR Brett Macdonald with 101st Battery, 8th/12th Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery, Australian Army, carries a 155 mm artillery projectile to his gun position June 29 after the U.S. Marine Corps air assault course June 29 at Bradshaw Field Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. The AAC was a bilateral combined arms training event that combined light infantry, indirect fire weapons systems and air assets to capture and fight through a mock enemy objective. The rotational deployment of U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force – Darwin affords an unprecedented combined training opportunity with our Australian allies and improves interoperability between our forces.
