Australian Army gunners with 101st Battery, 8th/12th Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery, Australian Army, clean the bore of their M777A2 lightweight 155 mm howitzer after firing in support of a U.S. Marine Corps air assault course June 29 during the air assault course at Bradshaw Field Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. The AAC was a bilateral combined arms training event that combined light infantry, indirect fire weapons systems and air assets to capture and fight through a mock enemy objective. This engagement reflects cooperation to promote global and regional peace and prosperity. The Marines and the Australian Defence Force are committed to continuing our tradition of more than 100 years of global partnerships and security cooperation between Australia and the United States of America.
