U.S. Air Force Tech Sgt. Jasmine Matus, radio frequency transmissions craftsman, provides category six cable to U.S. Air Force Tech Sgt. Carl Koenig, radio frequency transmissions technician (right) who is installing it in the roof of the Dr. Salvador Paredes Hospital in Trujillo, Honduras, June 29, 2015, with the help of U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Trenton Freeman, client systems journeyman (center). The combat communications Airmen are with the 35th Combat Communications Squadron out of Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., and were in the hospital to repair its ailing network as part of the New Horizons Honduras 2015 training exercise. New Horizons was launched in the 1980s and is an annual joint humanitarian assistance exercise that U.S. Southern Command conducts with a partner nation in Central America, South America or the Caribbean. The exercise improves joint training readiness of U.S. and partner nation civil engineers, medical professionals and support personnel through humanitarian assistance activities.
