Future cadets arriving at the United States Military Academy at West Point are issued a copy of the new cadet handbook complete with the West Point motto of "Beat Navy" on the back cover on R-day. Almost 1,300 future cadets reported to the Academy on R-day, which is typically held on the last Monday in June.
