Rct. Eduardo J. Rivera, a 19-year-old native of Dumont, N.J., is currently training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., in hopes of earning the title United States Marine. Rivera is training with Platoon 2061, Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, and is scheduled to graduate Aug. 7, 2015. “I joined to make a change in my life and to give back to this country,” said Rivera, who graduated from Dumont High School in 2014.
