SOLOMON SEA (June 26, 2015) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Julio Velasquez (left), from Los Angeles, and Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Brittany Hust, from Pascagoula, Miss., remove a cargo net from a pallet on board the flight deck of the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) during a replenishment at sea. Mercy received dry goods, frozen and fresh foods, medical supplies and 12,000 barrels of fuel during the replenishment at sea with USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11). Mercy is currently underway to Papua New Guinea for its second mission stop of Pacific Partnership 2015. Pacific Partnership is in its 10th iteration and is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions to date have provided real world medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals.
