Army Maj. Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, commander of CJTF-82, gives his thanks to the Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines gathered for a 9.11 kilometer run, Sept. 11. For some, the memory of the tragic events that took place, Sept. 11, 2001, may be in the back of their minds, but for the servicemembers of BAF, serving on the frontlines, the memory is fresh. The memorial run was held to honor the memory of the thousands of lives lost on 9-11-01.
