Monica Leutgendorf, a Medical Corps physician at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth OB/GYN clinic who is 24-weeks pregnant, and Petty Officer 3rd Class Teresa Arnold, hospital corpsman, who gave birth in May, exercise at the medical center gym. A study about the benefits of moderate exercise during pregnancy was published in the August 2009 Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons by two NMCP physicians.
