Incoming international students of the Naval Staff College and the Naval Command College attend a lecture on American history as part of new student orientation at the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) in Newport, R.I. During the weeklong orientation, students are given the information they will need to complete their course of study at NWC. Topics include the NWC’s missions, with a focus on strengthening global maritime partnerships; American history, legislature, and politics; course content; and information on the Newport area.
