Lance Cpl. John C. Gebelein, a Virginia Beach native and an 81mm mortar forward observer with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, says hello to his two-month-old daughter through a Video-Tele-Conference at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Aug. 30. The 22nd MEU is ashore in Kuwait conducting sustainment training while serving as the theater reserve force for U.S. Central Command.
