President-elect and current Minister of Defense Raimonds Vejonis discusses the 23-year state partnership between the nation of Latvia and the state of Michigan prior to flying a refueling mission on a Michigan based KC-135 Stratotanker. This mission is to keep close air support provided by A-10 Thunderbolts for the Saber Strike exercise. Over 6,000 Soldiers from 13 different countries are participating in this year's Saber Strike exercise conducted in training areas in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
