The base honor guard posts the colors during a change of command ceremony June 19, 2015, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Brig. Gen. Jon T. Thomas assumed command of the 86th Airlift Wing from Brig. Gen. Patrick X. Mordente, and will be responsible for six groups, 27 squadrons and 10 geographically separated units across five countries including the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium and Turkey.
