The Honorable Francis J. Harvey, Secretary of the Army, and Maj. Gen. J.D. Thurman, the commanding general of Multi-National Division -- Baghdad, discuss a Soldier's question on the Army's current plan to rethink the length of the deployment cycle for active duty troops. Harvey visited with 4th Infantry Division troops here Thursday as part of his week-long trip to Iraq to assess quality of life and receive feedback on current issues affecting Soldiers. Harvey tackled tough questions from troops, ranging from plans to fix Iraqi equipment problems to possible legislation dropping the age of retirement to 55. The trip marks Harvey's second visit to Iraq since taking office in 2004.
