Lance Cpl. Corey Teubert, from Liberty, Kentucky, braces himself as Cpl. Evan Ouellette, from Cornish, Maine, fires a Shoulder-Launched, Multipurpose Assault Weapon June 7, at Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, Republic of Korea, during Korean Marine Exchange Program 15-19. The SMAW is an 83 mm man-portable weapon system. It was designed to destroy bunkers and other fortifications during assault operations and to destroy main battle tanks with the High Explosive Anti-Armor rocket. This exercise allows the battalion to maintain readiness and build the mutual strength and friendship between the ROK Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps. Both Marines are infantry assault men with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine photo by Lance Cpl.
